The Promise Of Leadership

Like it or not, there is an inherent and unspoken promise that comes along with being a leader.
It’s a promise that leader makes to those that they lead and those that relate to them as a leader.
It’s a promise that goes unspoken and unpracticed too often: Your impact matters.
As a leader, you are promising that your responsibility will be on not only the end goal, but also on the team that you travel there with, the impact of the journey, and the consequences of the goal itself that you leave in your wake.
The promise you make as a leader is that you will be fully responsible for and own the impact of your leadership, the team you lead and the result you have created.
